American Cruise Lines to Add New Ships, Itineraries and Ports in 2023

by Dori Saltzman  November 30, 2022
American Cruise Lines to Add New Ships, Itineraries and Ports in 2023

In 2023, American Cruise Lines will add three new ships to its fleet, sail 10 new itineraries and visit 21 new-to-ACL ports. In total, the line will sail 17 small ships to destinations in 35 states, including more than 11 itineraries on the Mississippi River alone.

New Ships
The new ships in 2023 include American Serenade, the sixth modern riverboat for the line coming to the Mississippi River in April.

Also entering the ACL fleet are the first two Coastal Cat class of ships, the 109-passenger American Eagle and American Glory, both of which will sail East Coast itineraries, beginning in August and October.

New Itineraries & Ports
New cruise itineraries for ACL in 2023 include the line’s first-ever California cruise, an eight-day roundtrip sailing from San Francisco that highlights Napa and wine country. New ports of call for American Cruise Lines on this cruise include San Francisco, Napa, Stockton and Sacramento.

Also new is a 15-day National Parks & Legendary Rivers itinerary that includes an eight-day cruise on the Columbia & Snake Rivers, combined with a seven-day exploration of Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks.

Other new itineraries are an eight-day Tennessee River cruise between Chattanooga and Nashville, and an eight-day Gulf Coast & Keys cruise, which stops in Key West, St. Petersburg, Fort Meyers, Marco Island, and Punta Gorda.
