Atlas Ocean Voyages has partnered with Abercrombie & Kent, &Beyond, and The Ritz-Carlton for seven new pre-voyage land tours to complement its Kenya and South Africa voyages for guests sailing aboard Atlas Adventurer during the yacht’s 2029 season.
Three programs will depart from Nairobi, Kenya, including one developed in partnership with Abercrombie & Kent to connect guests departing from Mombasa. Four additional programs depart from Johannesburg, and one from Cape Town, South Africa.
The land experiences are designed to suit a range of durations and levels of exclusivity.
“An expedition doesn’t have to begin upon arrival at the yacht,” said James A. Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages. “These new safari experiences give our guests the chance to enhance their journey with a truly immersive land excursion encountering Africa’s extraordinary wildlife and landscapes, before they ever set foot aboard Atlas Adventurer.”
Kenya
In Kenya, Atlas Ocean Voyages has partnered with Abercrombie & Kent for an exclusive A&K Sanctuary land experience, an eight-day journey spanning three private reserves. Atlas also offers two additional land experience safaris, including a four-day introduction to Amboseli and Tsavo East, and an eight-day option that includes stays at &Beyond Suyian Lodge and The Ritz-Carlton’s safari camp in the Masai Mara.
South Africa & Botswana
Four Cape Town excursions showcase the range of southern Africa’s landscapes, from the vineyards of the Cape Winelands to the private reserves of Greater Kruger – including Lion Sands and &Beyond – and the wilds of the Okavango Delta and Chobe, culminating for one program in a visit to Victoria Falls.
“Whether guests are joining us from Mombasa or Cape Town, we’ve partnered with the finest safari operators in Africa to ensure every land experience program reflects the same craftsmanship and exclusivity our guests expect at sea,” added Rodriguez.
The seven pre-voyage Kenya and South Africa land experiences are offered in conjunction with four voyages: the March 24, 2029, voyage from Mombasa to Cape Town, the April 7, 2029, 14-night voyage from Cape Town to Mombasa, the April 7, 2029, 45-night Extraordinary Expedition from Cape Town to Athens, and the April 21, 2029, 10-night voyage from Mombasa to Mahé.
