Holland America Line has opened up nearly three dozen 2027/28 voyages across Hawaii, Mexico, the Pacific Coast, and the Panama Canal. The new season showcases longer stays in Honolulu and extended exploration of Mexico’s Sea of Cortez.
Voyages are available onboard Koningsdam, Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, and Zaandam, with sailings operating October through April from five North American homeports.
“Whether guests are chasing the sun in Hawaii or seeking the rugged, untouched beauty of the Great Bear Rainforest, this season truly has something for every type of cruiser,” said Paul Grigsby, vice president of itinerary planning and deployment for Holland America Line.
“Across each distinct region, guests can immerse themselves in the moments that bring these destinations to life — whether that’s learning the meaning behind island traditions through Hawaii Up Close, spotting some of the 300 bird species that thrive in Tortuguero National Park, or tasting regionally inspired dishes…”
Hawaii Itineraries
The 2027/28 Hawaii deployment features extended Honolulu stays, plus calls to iconic natural sites including Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, black-sand beaches, and more. Guests can also enjoy Hawaii Up Close cultural programming — ranging from agriculture and local history to native arts and geology — along with stargazing, luaus, and authentic island‑themed entertainment.
Options include multiple departures of the 17- or 18-day Circle Hawaii itineraries available on Koningsdam or Zaandam. All itineraries call at Nawiliwili, Kauai; Honolulu; Kahului, Maui; and Kona and Hilo on the Big Island. Select itineraries include overnight and up to 40-hour calls in Honolulu, as well as calls to Ensenada, Mexico.
Panama Canal Sailings
Itineraries that visit or pass through the Panama Canal range from 14 to 22 days, giving cruisers a front-row look at the Gatun, Pedro Miguel, and Miraflores Locks. Voyages include access to UNESCO World Heritage sites, Mayan archaeological discoveries, sloth sanctuaries, volcano hikes, and coastal cultural immersions across Central America. Options sail from Fort Lauderdale or Miami to San Diego (or reverse), Seattle to Fort Lauderdale, and Fort Lauderdale to Vancouver.
West Coast Mexico Cruises
Sailings to Mexico include a wide range of gateway options, from short warm-weather escape to in-depth Baja and Sea of Cortez exploration. Voyages range from five to 12 days, with most – but not all – sailing roundtrip from San Diego. Ports of call might include Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Ensenada, Loreto, Pichilingue (La Paz), and Manzanillo, among other lesser-visited Baja Peninsula ports.
Pacific Coast Itineraries
The Pacific Coast season includes one- to seven-day voyages and brings back the guest-favorite Great Bear Rainforest itinerary, sailing roundtrip from Vancouver in 2028. These itineraries highlight British Columbia’s fjord-like waterways, plus port calls across California and the Pacific Northwest.
For West Coast clients interested in dipping their toe into cruising, the one-day options sails aboard Eurodam, sailing from Seattle to Vancouver, on Oct. 2, 2027.
