Luxury Demand Surge: Cunard Sees Huge Growth for 2027 Bookings

Cunard has seen significant growth in demand after the launch of its 2027 program, with bookings from North America driving that uplift.

Bookings from North America were up more than 100% over last year, which is in line with luxury market booking trends of Canadians.

About 27% of Canadian outbound travellers in 2025 are considered high-value travellers—those planning to spend CAD 5,000 or more per trip abroad, up from 21% in 2023. The average planned spend for international travel in 2025 is CAD 3,850 per person, a 14% increase from the previous year.

“We’re delighted with the response to our 2027 launch. It’s wonderful to see so many guests choosing to sail with us, and the rise in bookings shows just how much people continue to value the Cunard experience,” said Katie McAlister, President of Cunard. “Demand for our Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites has been especially strong globally, which tells us that more guests are seeking the space, service, and thoughtful details that make our luxury Grills suites so special.”

Cunard always reports a notable surge for their most exclusive luxury suites; there has also been a notable surge in demand for Cunard’s most exclusive luxury suites. Bookings for Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites rose by over 100% compared to the same launch period last year.
