Tourism Australia MD Robin Mack Discusses Canadian & US Market with John Kirk | VIDEO

“We have great friendship between Australia and Canada, but we don’t share this weather,” said Robin Mack, newly appointed Managing Director for Tourism Australia, in a video interview with Travel Market Report Canada Editor-in-Chief John Kirk on a chilly March day in Toronto.

Canadian visitors were up 4% to more than 171,000, and their total spend represented more than $1 billion. Mack says Australia focuses on spend per tourist rather than visitor numbers, and Canadians are a desirable group with strong potential for growth.
