MSC Cruises Adds Another Tier to Voyagers Club Loyalty Program
by Daniel McCarthy /MSC Cruises is adding another tier to its Voyagers Club loyalty program.
MSC Voyagers Club Blue Diamond is not the highest tier for MSC guests, above Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Classic in descending order. The Blue Diamond level is for MSC’s “most devoted guests.”
Just like any loyalty program, the tiers on Voyagers Club are set up to reward loyalty—the more cruisers book and spend on MSC, the more points they earn, and the higher they climb. And the higher they climb, the greater the rewards. Here’s the current set-up for MSC, with higher tiers getting all the lower-tiered perks, as well:
- Classic Membership: 1 to 2,199 points.
A 5% discount on cruises year-round (excluding Tandem and Grand Tours) and an additional 5% off for bookings made six months in advance. Also includes a personalized e-newsletter, luggage tags, an MSC Voyagers Club card, a welcome-back cocktail, discounts on onboard services, and amenities like photos, digital accessories, and Wi-Fi. - Silver Membership: 2,200 to 4,299 points.
A $50 onboard credit per person and double points for reservations made over a year in advance. Guests booking at least nine months prior receive a 50€/$ onboard credit per person - Gold Membership: 4,300 to 9,999 points.
A complimentary one-hour thermal session, a special gift, priority disembarkation at tender ports, a club photo, and a birthday cake onboard. - Diamond Membership: 10,000 points or more.
Priority boarding and disembarkation, a complimentary specialty restaurant tasting menu, a dancing class, a Diamond-exclusive party, and a late check-out option. They also enjoy special amenities like a bathrobe and slippers, a chocolate gift, and more.
The new Blue Diamond level (25,000+ points) gives guests all of those perks, along with flexible, priority check-in with dedicated luggage drop-off, anytime dining at the main restaurant, a complimentary Browse Wi-Fi package, free shuttle tickets at select ports, priority access to tenders, and an exclusive meet-and-greet with the ship’s captain or officer.
