Watch Drew Barrymore Serenade Orlando Bloom in MSC Cruises’ First Super Bowl Ad

by Daniel McCarthy  February 10, 2025

If you missed the Super Bowl last night, you didn’t miss much on the field, as the Philadelphia Eagles ended any drama early en route to a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

What you might have missed, however, was a slate of travel ads from across the industry, highlighted by a minute-long spot from MSC Cruises. The ad, called “Let’s Holiday on MSC Cruises,” starred Orlando Bloom and Drew Barrymore and showcased the upcoming MSC World America, which is set to launch from Miami this April.

The ad is a major investment from MSC—according to CBS, advertisers spent close to $8 million on average for a 30-second spot—and one that shows its excitement for MSC World America, which debuts in Miami on April 9, 2025.

The ship will feature seven distinct districts, each with its own food, beverage, and entertainment venues. Recently, MSC revealed that its entertainment lineup will be headlined by Dirty Dancing in Concert, a 90-minute show featuring singers performing classic songs in sync with the iconic movie.
