MSC Cruises Reveals First-Ever Alaska Season Set for 2026
by Dori Saltzman /Starting in 2026, MSC Cruises will add a fifth U.S. homeport and introduce its first-ever Alaska cruises. The line will offer seven-night sailings between May and September.
Sailings will be on board the line’s MSC Poesia, with the first sailing taking place May 11, 2026.
Itineraries will visit Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, and Juneau, along with Victoria, B.C. and include scenic cruising in Tracy Arm.
“Guests from all over the world tell us they want to see Alaska’s beauty firsthand, which makes these itineraries the perfect addition to MSC Cruises’ global portfolio of bucket-list destinations,” said Lynn Torrent, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for MSC Cruises USA. “Seattle will be our fifth U.S. homeport, bringing our signature mix of European style and American comforts to the west coast as we continue to expand our offerings in the North American market.”
MSC Poesia’s seasonal repositioning between Miami and Seattle allows for two truly unique itineraries sailing through the Panama Canal at the start and end of the season. The first sailing departs from Miami on Thurs., April 23, 2026, and from Seattle on Mon., Sept. 28, 2026.
