MSC Magnifica at Auckland.

Bookings for the 2028 MSC World Cruise onboard the newly refurbished MSC Magnifica are officially open, with the 115-night voyage, sailing from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, across the Pacific, into Australasia, through Asia and the Arabian Peninsula before returning into the heart of Europe.

The 2028 MSC World Cruise itinerary introduces new and unique destinations on top of a plethora of guest favourites. This new sailing promises enchanting and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including the Panama Canal, where guests will navigate through the iconic passage linking the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, surrounded by tropical landscapes and rich biodiversity.

Itinerary highlights include:

  • Nuku’alofa (Tonga)– At the heart of Polynesia, guests can embrace authentic island traditions, stroll along untouched beaches, and experience the warmth of Tongan culture and hospitality.
  • Manta (Ecuador) – This vibrant coastal city is known for its maritime heritage and exceptional seafood. Guests can explore bustling markets and journey to Montecristi, birthplace of the world-famous Panama hat.
  • Arica (Chile)- Known as the “City of Eternal Spring,” Chile’s northernmost city boasts iconic desert landscapes. Guests can delve into archaeological sites that display the marvels of ancient Andean civilizations.
  • Callao (Peru)– As Lima’s historic port, guests can wander through vibrant plazas, admire ornate architecture, and savour world-class gastronomy.
  • Chan May (Vietnam)– A tranquil gateway to Vietnam’s cultural heart, Chan May offers access to Hue’s imperial city and the scenic Hai Van Pass, combining history, architecture, and breathtaking views.
  • Sihanoukville (Cambodia)– In this coastal gem, guests can unwind on pristine beaches and take excursions to explore Cambodia’s cultural wonders, including Angkor Wat.
  • Grand Turk Island (Turks & Caicos)– In this Caribbean paradise, guests can enjoy powdery white sands, dive into crystal-clear waters and snorkel among vibrant coral reefs.
  • Hanga Roa (Easter Island)– One of the most remote inhabited islands on Earth, Easter Island invites guests to uncover its volcanic landscapes and ancient ceremonial sites, including the legendary Moai statues, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure.
  • Puerto Limón (Costa Rica)– A gateway to nature’s wonders, Puerto Limón offers access to the Tortuguero Canals and dense rainforests, where guests can glide along jungle waterways and encounter exotic wildlife.

Guests can choose from embarkation ports including Civitavecchia, Genoa (Italy), Marseille (France), and Barcelona (Spain) on January 4, 5, 6 and 7, 2028 (respectively). As part of their cruise ticket, guests will enjoy a range of added benefits designed to enhance their journey. These include 15 shore excursions included in the booking price, a complimentary Dine & Drink beverage package featuring house wines, draught beer, and a selection of other drinks served during lunch and dinner, as well as a 30% discount on laundry services. In addition, Classic level MSC Voyager Club members and above will receive a 5% discount on their booking price, and the points earned from the World Cruise will be tripled and credited before departure, instantly unlocking valuable privileges and extras.
