MSC Reveals Wellness Experiences Onboard MSC Seascape

From an enhanced thermal suite to a choice of six pools, MSC Seascape will have plenty to offer wellness-minded passengers when it debuts in PortMiami this December.

“We know our guests want to relax and take care of themselves when they’re on a cruise, and we know everyone has their own idea of what that means. Every time we build a new ship, we get a fresh opportunity to look at our wellness and rejuvenation options and really think about the entire experience on board,” Mark Zeller, Vice President of Hotel Operations, MSC Cruises USA told TMR in a statement.

“With MSC Seascape, our goal is to make sure we have something for everyone, whether it’s the innovative thermal area at the MSC Aurea Spa, or dance classes on deck. Plus, knowing the ship will visit Ocean Cay on every sailing gives us the opportunity to extend the rest and relaxation beyond what’s happening on board. Together, MSC Seascape and Ocean Cay are the total package when it comes to unplugging and focusing on your well-being.”

MSC Aurea Spa
At the heart of the wellness experiences onboard MSC Seascape will be the Aurea Spa, with 21 treatment rooms, a hair and nail salon, and a barbershop. New on Seascape will be an enhanced thermal suite offering a range of options including a salt room, snow room, scrub room, Finnish sauna, soft sauna, blower pool, Mediterranean bath, vertical Kneipp (a type of sensory shower), and steam room.

The spa will also feature an outdoor area with three cabanas available for half-day and full-day rentals. Signature treatments will include a dry flotation-zero gravity experience.

MSC Gym Powered by Technogym
Adjacent to the spa, cruisers will find the 3,000-square-foot MSC Gym. Equipment from Technogym will include ultra-modern cardio and strength-training machines. Group cycling classes will be available in the cycling studio, and a separate studio will offer a variety of group fitness classes.

Outdoor Wellness Classes
Beyond the gym offerings, MSC Seascape will offer cruisers the chance to stay fit outdoors with options that range from poolside morning stretches to afternoon Yoga and outdoor group dance classes including Fit Dance, Latin Dance, and Caribbean Dance. Options will include a mixture of complimentary and paid classes.

Six Pools & Water Attractions
Cruisers onboard MSC Seascape will have six pools to choose from including the aft infinity pool on Deck 8 that extends to the very back of the ship. On each side of the ship, two infinity whirlpools will provide uninterrupted views of the ocean.

In the main pool area, passengers will find ample deck space surrounding the 360-degree water fountain island, while the Long Island Pool offers a variety of depths and submerged sunbeds. Next door, families can enjoy the Pirate’s Cove Aquapark, which features adventure trails and a waterslide with a virtual reality experience baked in.

The Jungle Pool will span two decks and provide tons of lounging space. A retractable roof ensures the area can be enjoyed all cruise long, regardless of the weather.

MSC Seascape will sail seven-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean from PortMiami starting this December. Like all MSC Cruises ships that sail from U.S. ports, MSC Seascape will visit the Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve on every itinerary. Wellness experiences on the island include the Spa at Ocean Cay, which features eight private cabanas located on the beach offering exclusive Ocean Cay full-body massages. Open-air yoga classes are also available on the island.
