National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions unveiled the final collection of voyages for its 2028/29 deployment, including new itineraries and extended journeys.
Building on the first collection of 2028/29 voyages announced in August, the newly released itineraries expand exploration in destinations including the Galápagos, Baja California, and the Amazon; introduce a new Costa Rica and Panama expedition; and offer immersive journeys through Egypt and Peru.
“Every destination has its own rhythm, and our job is to design the voyage in concert with it,” said Trey Byus, chief expedition officer, Lindblad Expeditions. “We’re constantly looking for ways to give guests more depth, more access, and more opportunities to explore actively. The 2028–29 deployment reflects that approach, with new combinations, extended itineraries, and intimate vessels that allow guests to experience these places in ways larger ships simply cannot.”
Highlights of the 2028–29 season include:
- Galapagos: Eight itineraries range from seven to 17 days onboard four ships.
- Peru and Galapagos: In 2029, guests can link Peru and Galapagos into one land-and-sea journey on the Peru and Galapagos Escape itinerary.
- Costa Rica and Panama (new): This 15-day itinerary connects Costa Rica Pacific wilderness with Panama’s Pearl Islands and the Panama Canal, while an expanded eight-day Guanacaste itinerary offers more time to explore the Costa Rican region’s landscapes, wildlife, and culture.
- Amazon: From November 2028 through October 2029, the Upper Amazon: A River Expedition itinerary explores the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve onboard Delfin II and Delfin III.
- Baja California: Three itineraries offer different experiences with “Exploring Mexico’s Gulf of California” exploring the region’s interconnected desert-and-sea ecosystem, “Baja California: Among the Great Whales” focusing on seasonal encounters with gray whales, and “Baa California Holiday” offering a festive-season departure.
- Egypt: Guests can explore Egypt and the Nile River onboard the Oberoi Philae, on a journey that connects Cairo to Abu Simbel.
