Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled plans to refurbish two of its ships: Norwegian Epic and Pride of America. Both will undergo dry docks this spring in order to be ready for the summer 2025 travel season.

New enhancements range from the addition of a reimagined water park for children to the expansion of the Vibe Beach Club to additional accommodations, and more.

“Delivering the best vacation experience for our guests, where they have the freedom and flexibility to do more of what they love is and will always continue to be our goal,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “By listening to guests’ feedback, we are excited to provide them with more to do on board starting this summer as Norwegian Epic sets sail for Europe and Pride of America continues to offer the world’s only seven-day interisland Hawaii voyages…”

Norwegian Epic Upgrades

Following the completion of Norwegian Epic’s three-week dry dock, the top deck will boast some notable enhancements with more outdoor spaces.

Renovations will include a brand new hot tub on Deck 18 and a refreshed kids’ Aqua Park that replaces Splashgolf. Guests will also find an expanded Vibe Beach Club, replacing the Posh Beach Club, with an additional hot tub, as well as more lounge chairs and new private cabanas available for rent.

The dry dock also will see eight additional staterooms – a combo of balconies and oceanviews – added to the ship.

Pride of America Upgrades

Pride of America will undergo a dry dock from May 3 to 31 and will receive several upgrades including the addition of a new Starbucks location within The Capitol Atrium on Deck 5. The ship will also receive 12 new Club Balcony Suites and three inside staterooms on Deck 12.

Splash Academy, NCL’s youth club for kids ages 3 to 12, and Entourage, the teen club, will be relocated to a spot on Deck 6 that was previously the S/S America Library, Internet Café, and chapel. A new library and card room will replace the Shuffles Card Room.

The ship returns to service in Honolulu on May 31.
