Oceania Cruises has unveiled more information about which itineraries Oceania Sonata will sail when it debuts in August 2027. Now available online for viewing, with bookings opening on Jan. 28, 2026, Sonata – the first ship in the Sonata Class – will offer 22 sailings from August 2027 through April 2028, spanning more than 90 destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central and South America, on voyages ranging from seven to 16 days.

“Oceania Sonta’s inaugural season is defined by the cultural diversity and geographic variety of the destinations she visits,” said Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises.

The ships maiden voyage will set sail from Rome (Civitavecchia) on Aug. 7, 2027, for a 14-day journey to Trieste. Highlights will include Catania, Italy; Valletta, Malta; Katakolon, Greece; Bar, Montenegro; and Zadar, Croatia.

Following the ship’s Mediterranean season, Oceania Sonata will cross the Atlantic to Miami where it will begin its inaugural Caribbean season, visiting ports such as Bridgeton, Barbados and Tortola, British Virgin Islands, as well as ports across Latin America and offering a daylight transit of the Panama Canal.

The 1,390-passenger Oceania Sonata will offer the largest variety and number of suites in Oceania’s fleet, with 33% of all accommodations designated as a suite. It will also offer the brand’s most diverse culinary program at sea with 13 dining experiences at no additional cost, including the debut of La Table par Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, and Nikkei Kitchen, a venue focused on the fusion of Peruvian and Japanese culinary techniques and tastes.
