Princess Cruises Introduces Faster Internet for Princess Package Cruisers Only
by Dori Saltzman /Princess Cruises is revving up its Wi-Fi speeds, but only for cruisers who have purchased either a Princess Plus or Princess Premier package.
The MedallionNet Max service, which debuts Aug. 31, will be the line’s highest performing service tier with prioritized access to whatever is the highest quality and highest performance bandwidth at any given moment. (Princess uses every source of bandwidth available including Starlink, MEO [middle earth orbit], GEO satellite constellations, as well as 5G terrestrial.) There will be no additional cost for the service.
MedallionNet Classic will continue to be available and offer the same service performance it always has. A la carte pricing for MedallionNet Classic remains $24.99 per day for a single device and $44.99 per day for a multi-device plan. Guests who do not have either Princess Plus or Princess Premier will not be able to pay to upgrade to the faster service.
