Say Goodbye to Insight Vacations & Costsaver, Hello to the New Trafalgar ‘Power Brand’

With the goal of creating a broader, simpler portfolio for travel advisors and their clients, TTC Tour Brands is merging Insight Vacations and Costsaver under the single Trafalgar name.

The expanded 2027 Trafalgar portfolio will be on sale in Q4 2026 ahead of the peak Black Friday booking period.

It’s a major change for a nearly 80-year-old brand that was a family business for most of its existence before parent company The Travel Corporation was acquired by massive global asset management company Apollo Global Management.

The expanded Trafalgar will offer more than 600 itineraries across 75 countries and five ways to travel: Tours, Small Groups, River Cruises, Rail Journeys and Group Sales.

Three value tiers – saver, classic and premium – have been created to make it easier for advisors to identify and explain the right experience level and price point for each client, while retaining the product expertise and experiences they already know from Costsaver, Trafalgar and Insight Vacations.

The move follows Trafalgar’s recent expansion into river cruising and small group travel and represents a larger evolution of the brand from a leader in guided tours to a single travel brand capable of serving more travellers across different travel styles, life-stages and budgets.

“Growth has given us more ways than ever to serve travellers, but more choice shouldn’t mean more complexity for the advisors who sell us,” said Melissa DaSilva, Deputy CEO and Chief Sales Officer, TTC Tour Brands.

“Bringing these experiences together under Trafalgar allows us to preserve what advisors and their clients value while removing layers that no longer make it easy to do business with us. We want an advisor to be able to come to Trafalgar with a client and find the right way for them to travel, whether that means a premium tour, a small group, a river cruise or a completely different experience as their needs evolve.”

The company says Trafalgar’s new premium offering will retain the elevated hotels, dining and experiences associated with Insight Vacations, while its saver trips will continue to deliver the flexibility and value currently offered by Costsaver. The classic tier of trips will represent the Trafalgar experience advisors know today.

For 2027 departures, existing itineraries, experiences and pricing remain unchanged.

“The goal isn’t to give advisors less choice. It’s to make more choice easier to navigate,” added DaSilva.

“An advisor shouldn’t have to navigate the complexity of how our business is organized behind the scenes to find the right vacation for their client. We believe one trusted brand, with clearly defined ways to travel and value tiers, gives them a simpler way to match the right experience to the right traveller.”

To prepare partners for the transition, the Your New Era with Trafalgar hub is now live on the Travel Agent Portal (TAP), providing a central destination for information, training and resources.

Advisors can also participate in live webinars, request training from their Sales Manager or complete eLearning at their own pace:

September 2 | 2pm EDT / 11am PDT: Webinar Link here

September 17: Your New Era with Trafalgar – 1748159

Advisors will see additional features integrated into TAP that will make it easier to navigate the five travel categories and three value tiers, and new experiences live and bookable on TAP in Q4 2026. Travel advisors can learn more by clicking here.
