Scenic Group Launches New U.S. Four-Tiered Pricing Structure
by Dori Saltzman
Starting March 9, Scenic Group will introduce what it calls a “simplified” fare structure for U.S. cruisers. The four-tiered structure creates a clear differentiation between flexible and commitment-based value and provides incentives that reward early booking. The structure also provides advisors with more transparent selling tools while offering guests more control over what they value most.
The system replaces the company’s two-for-one model, which has been a signature marketing tactic for the company for many years, with a four-tier structure that reflects a broader commitment to clarity in market messaging, while preserving the inclusions that define both the Scenic and Emerald brands.
“The updated U.S. pricing model allows Scenic Group to simplify promotional messaging around extensions and add-ons and focus on value perception and generous inclusions,” the line said in its announcement.
The four options available to U.S. clients will be:
Full Fare
The full fare is designed for travelers who value flexibility when they book. It includes each brand’s standard inclusions and follows the standard payment timeline. This fare is always an option, at any point leading up to a cruise departure date.
Select Fare
The Select Fare incentivizes clients for booking early with up to 15% off the price. The fare comes with the standard brand inclusions and follows an adjusted payment timeline. It is available to book until 120 days prior to departure date.
Preferred Fare
The Preferred Fare emphasizes enhanced value with all the standard brand inclusions as well as free or reduced air for river sailings OR air credit to book air through Scenic Group for yacht sailings. The fare has an accelerated payment timeline and can only be booked until 120 days prior to departure.
Preferred+ Fare
Scenic Group’s most robust pricing option with the greatest level of inclusions from the standard brand inclusions and air inclusions from the Preferred Fare, as well as up to $500 in additional savings. The Preferred+ Fare must be paid in full at the time of booking. It is also available until 120 days prior to departure. It is non-refundable.
“This pricing evolution reflects the next chapter of Scenic Group’s growth in the United States,” said Ken Muskat, Scenic Group USA & LATAM. “We are strengthening clarity in our pricing while maintaining the generous inclusions and elevated experiences that define our brands. This structure gives our travel advisor partners greater confidence and provides our guests with transparent, flexible options tailored to their travel planning style.”
