Wine & Dine Sublime: Scenic Introduces 2026 Tastes of Discovery Series

Wine Tasting on a Scenic river cruise.

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours is expanding its portfolio of wine-focused journeys for 2026, offering guests immersive experiences across storied wine regions in Europe.

Each itinerary will include exclusive tastings, behind-the-scenes vineyard tours, and engaging educational sessions hosted by regional winemakers.

Guests will travel aboard a 5-star Scenic Space-Ship, where curated spaces and luxury amenities are reserved for just 163 guests. From Bordeaux blends to Rhône Valley varietals and Moselle Rieslings, guests will immerse themselves in iconic flavours, complemented by truly all-inclusive, ultra-luxury comfort.

With Scenic ‘Freechoice’ excursions and Scenic ‘Enrich’ experiences, guests can customize their journey to suit their interests and travel style. Additional experiences across the series include onboard culinary demonstrations, pâtissier-crafted desserts, caviar tastings, and private classical concerts in historic châteaux. Each featured itinerary offers a summer departure, with select journeys also available in the fall, giving travellers more flexibility.

Koblenz, Germany.

Within the series, Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has reimagined its popular Central Europe and France river cruises & tours for wine enthusiasts, building on the routes’ strong appeal and introducing expanded experiences for guests drawn to the region.

“Every experience has been thoughtfully reimagined for this special collection, with curated wine-focused activities unique to these departures and designed for travellers who value culture and connection,” said Lisa McCaskill, VP of Canadian Sales and Marketing at Scenic Group Canada. “These itineraries showcase Europe’s most remarkable wine regions through experiences Canadians won’t find anywhere else.”

Highlights of the new collection include:

Tastes of Bordeaux: The Médoc is celebrated for its bold Cabernet Sauvignon reds, while Bordeaux is equally famed for its Sauternes sweet whites. Guests will explore Saint-Émilion, cycle through the Médoc, and visit a Sauternes estate. Scenic Enrich experiences include caviar tasting, village cycling and a private concert at Château d’Agassac. Guests have the option to extend their journey to Madrid.

Tastes of the South of France: Round-trip Lyon, this journey introduces guests to the wine traditions of southern France. Highlights include visits to Provence’s rosé vineyards, a Burgundy estate, and a guided Côtes du Rhône tasting. On board, guests can refine their French cooking skills with Scenic Culinaire and enjoy a pâtissier-crafted dessert buffet from a local chef.

Scenic Jasper, Wachau Valley.

Tastes of the Danube: From Budapest to Munich, this itinerary immerses guests in the Danube’s proud traditions and distinct cultures, including museums, palaces and cathedrals. Along the way, guests can explore Etyek, the “vineyard of Budapest,” sample reds and whites in the Carpathian wine region, and experience Austria’s Wachau Valley, famed for its Riesling and Grüner Veltliner. A trip extension to Prague is available.

A Taste of the Rhine: Travelling from Zurich to Amsterdam, this itinerary highlights the Rhine’s celebrated wine traditions, from standout Rieslings to Gewürztraminer and Crémant d’Alsace. Guests will sample Alsatian varietals, tour the historic Fritz Ritter vineyard, and visit the Koblenz Wine Museum. Beyond wine, the journey includes stops in vibrant cities and medieval towns, a visit to Baden-Baden, a private concert in the Baroque Rastatt Palace, and a visit to Fabrique des Lumières, a striking digital art installation in a former gasworks.

Across the 2026 wine-themed river cruise collection, fares range from  $5,095 for select Standard Suites and from $6,580 for Balcony Suites. Prices are per person, based on double occupancy. 2026 departure days start as early as June, for those looking to get away in the summer, until October, varying based on the itinerary.
