Suicide Bombers Attack Egyptian Hotel, At Least Seven Killed
Two suicide bombers and a gunman invaded the Swiss Inn hotel in North Sinai early this morning, killing at least seven people. Judges who were monitoring voting in Egypt’s elections were staying at the hotel.
Islamic State affiliates claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed two judges, four policemen, and a civilian, and injured at least 17 others.
This comes as Egypt tries to reestablish its tourism industry in the area, after militants bombed a Russian plane carrying tourists traveling from a Sinai resort last month.
