American Airlines is allowing travel waivers for flights booked through March 31 because of the increase in concern over coronavirus (COVID-19).
Any non-refundable tickets purchased through March 31 will be able to be changed without a fee. American previously was allowing changes through March 16 but extended it today to the end of the month.
American said it is also working closely “with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Department of State and public health officials on the latest developments” and decisions pertaining to coronavirus.
American has altered its schedule to Asia, including South Korea, and Italy because of coronavirus concerns and a lack in demand for travel. Flights to Milan are currently scheduled to resume on April 25.
