Caribbean tourism veteran William “Billy” Griffith has been appointed chairman of the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) Board, while Shannah Butterfield joins the Board of Directors.

Griffith, former CEO of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. and former Bermuda Director of Tourism, previously served in the role in an acting capacity.

Butterfield is a Certified Senior Human Resource Professional with more than 20 years of experience across both the public and private sectors.

“I am pleased that Mr. Griffith and Ms. Butterfield have accepted the invitations to serve,” said Owen Darrell, Bermuda’s Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture, and Sport.
