CLEAR Now Offering Reservation Lane at Orlando International Airport

CLEAR, the secure ID platform that allows users to skip lines at airport security, is now letting Orlando travelers make reservations ahead of time for airport security.

Just over a decade since the service debuted at the same airport, CLEAR is now offering, “Reservation Lane powered by CLEAR” at Orlando International Airport (MCO), giving users the chance to reserve a lane time slot for their party ahead of time

The service comes at no additional cost for CLEAR users and works simply by reserving the time through the CLEAR website and then scanning a QR code that comes with a confirmation email at Orlando’s security checkpoint (both the airport’s east and west wings will offer reservation options).

That QR code will allow them to go through CLEAR’s fast lane right to TSA screening and security.

There will be limited slots per day at first in Orlando, and the service will only be offered out of MCO, but the program could just be the start of another leg in the continued transformation of airport security. CLEAR, along with TSA PreCheck and Global Entry, has made it easier for travelers to get through lengthy airport security lines, which have returned to airports post-COVID.

According to CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker, the goal is to remove unpredictability from the travel experience and give users more control over their time.

“The travel experience can be unpredictable—from the moment you step outside your door to the moment you arrive at your destination,” she said. “We are excited to offer this new experience alongside Orlando International Airport and help give their travelers more predictability and more control over their time.”

CLEAR’s regular service, which doesn’t offer reservations but does allow travelers to use a dedicated CLEAR lane, is currently available in 38 airports and 100-plus security lanes in the U.S. It costs $15 a month billed annually.

CLEAR has also recently announced a new Health Pass that stores a traveler’s vaccination records ahead of travel.
