Beginning in November, Delta Air Lines will provide main cabin passengers on international routes with an upgraded in-flight experience.

The revamped experience kicks off at the time of boarding when flight attendants greet passengers at the gate and provide a hot towel service. Shortly after departure, guests will receive complimentary Bellini cocktails.

Once in the air, as part of a refreshed menu, passengers will be able to select premium entrees featuring recipes inspired by Delta One dishes. If a traveler’s appetite is lacking, there will be a range of delicious appetizers to choose from as well.

Meals will be served on custom plateware with upgraded cutlery and placemats available. Dessert will include a choice between complimentary coffee, tea, wine, or water.

Following the meal, the cabin crew will provide a second hot towel service; and farewell chocolates will be given as a final treat, as the plane descends to the destination.

The fresh approach is coming after an extensive review. The airline has tested the new service on close to 14,000 hours of flight time, and has taken into account reviews from more than 1,800 customer surveys and crew feedback; as well as working with a design time of 24 flight attendants to launch the new additions.

The icing on the cake is the recently upgraded amenity kit provided in the main cabin that includes a sleep mask, a dental kit, cleansing towelettes, and earplugs.
