Los Cabos

Events

Held Thursday evenings 5-9 p.m. November – June, the San Jose Art Walk is a bustling opportunity to step away from the Main Square and stroll through the Gallery District to browse food vendors and artist booths. Sip wine and dine in neighborhood restaurants between gallery and exhibit visits.

Five of the world’s eight sea turtle species nest on beaches in the Los Cabos area each year. Many hotels participate in conservation efforts during nesting season, which runs July – November.

Crowd Favorites

Whale watching in Los Cabos is a tried and true recommendation – even off the beaten path adventurers will appreciate this classic excursion. What trip to Cabo is complete without whale watching? They’ll see these majestic creatures December to mid-April, but January and February are the peak months – you might see some newborn calves!

Spend an afternoon on the Medano Beach and enjoy local vendors, restaurants, and shopping located on this popular swimmable beach.

Visit the famous El Arco de Cabo San Lucas on a daytime tour with snorkeling opportunities or visit on a sunset cruise for a beautiful Pacific sunset.

Favorite Eats

Flora Farms is a 25-acre organic farm located in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, just north of San Jose del Cabo. With farm to table dining options, activities and classes, its seasonal menu will delight any foodie.

For a casual vibe on the sand, check out The Office on the Beach and enjoy local and global fare, cocktails and live music.

Check out Sunset Monalisa for tasting menus of stylishly plated Mediterranean dishes on a sprawling terrace overlooking the ocean.

Dine out at El Farrallon, a high-end seafood eatery with outdoor tables beneath a cliff, for candlelit dining & sea views.                               

For lighter bites, check out the rooftop restaurant Simaruba. We love their charcuterie board and hand cut fries with truffle mayo and wine.

The Sacred Mayan Journey is an annual ritual in May each year that’s been performed for over 1000 years. Originally a sacred act of worship, today the event features canoeing from Xcaret to Cozumel.

Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, takes place between October 31 and November 2 every year. Many travelers opt for Mexico City for this revered celebration, but Cancun has much to offer during this important holiday!

Now in its tenth year, the Cancun Jazz Festival is definitely worth a spot in your calendar. Head to Cancun for three days of star-studded music lineups, pool parties, food and drink, May 16-18, 2025.

One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza deserves a spot on every Cancun itinerary. Take in the beauty and history of the ancient Mayan ruins followed by lunch and a swim at nearby Playa Paraiso

Cenotes, subterranean water systems, are located in the heart of the jungle and are a staple of any trip to Tulum. Here, you will discover the Mayan underworld, as you swim in crystal clear water making your way through caves and tunnels, while admiring ancient rock formations.

For authentic Greek cuisine in the Cancun Hotel Zone, say opa to Ilios Greek Estiatorio and enjoy everything from baklava to tzatziki.

, Puerto Vallarta’s LGBTQ+ Pride celebration is May 17-25, including the Pride Parade, Drag Derby Rally, Rainbow Run, Art Auction and more.

Actually three weeks long, this year’s Restaurant Week will be May 15 – June 10. Head to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit for innovative three-course menus.

The Puerto Vallarta Historic Downtown Art Walk began in October and will run through June 25 this year. Make sure to visit the participating galleries during this celebration of vibrant art creation, exhibition and promotion.

The famous El Malecon Boardwalk is a must visit on any trip to Puerto Vallarta. Enjoy art sculptures, wall art graffiti and see the Papantla Flyers performing the Danza de los Volardores.

La Cruz del Cerro lookout offers spectacular panoramic views of the city and the Bay of Banderas.
