WestJet Upgrades Its Plus Product
WestJet will cover the middle seat in its Plus section, its premium economy seating, with a tray table, to give passengers more personal space on its 737 aircraft. The carrier will make the change for travel beginning Sept. 14. On its 767 aircraft, WestJet will replace its current Plus seats with wider seats in a two-two-two configuration.
Plus fares include the flexibility to change a flight and pay only the difference in the fare. Passengers who cancel flights will receive either a full credit for future use or a full refund. The fares also include two checked bags, priority security screening where available, priority boarding, and extra legroom.
On 737s, most flights longer than 1.25 hours will include complimentary selection of food and beverages. Beginning Sept. 14, most flights longer than 2.5 hours will also include premium food and beverages and warm towel service. Flights on 767s will include all Plus 737 services along with premium hot meal service, a pre-flight drink and an amenity kit for flights longer than 6 hours.
