An Ultratravel Forum will open this year’s Asia Luxury Travel Market (ALTM) on June 14 at the Shanghai Centre Theatre at the Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai.
The panel will consist of CEO-level industry experts, as well as economists, who will focus on the subject “Is China/Asia-Pacific set to become the world’s largest market for luxury travel?”
Presentations will include the results of a research project undertaken by Reed Travel Exhibitions and TTG Asia, and insights from Charles Goddard, editorial director, Asia of the Economist Intelligence Unit and Nick Debnam, partner in charge, Consumer Markets of KPMG China, into current economic trends and how they relate to luxury travel.
Other executives participating in the forum include: Kent Zhu, group director of sales and marketing, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts; Naysla Edwards, director of travel benefits, Membership Travel Service, World Markets, American Express International, Inc.; and Reena Ho-Phang, managing director of BrandStory. The panel session will be moderated by Graham Boynton, editor of Ultratravel magazine and travel editor of the Daily Telegraph newspaper.
“The region, its economics, and the influence it has on the rest of the world are powerful subjects and our exclusive buyers and sellers of luxury travel will find… this opening event give a rare insight into the luxury travel industry…” said Debbie Joslin, event director of ALTM and ILTM.
