ALTOUR Appoints New SVP

Internova Travel Group has appointed travel industry veteran Shannon Garcia as ALTOUR’s new senior vice president of global sales and strategy. She will help drive strategy and align all of the Travel Leaders Corporate and ALTOUR commercial teams to help solve existing and emerging challenges in travel management. Additionally, she will spearhead ALTOUR’s international sales strategy and commercial team alignment.

“This strategic move comes on the heels of our decision to consolidate the business travel operations of Travel Leaders Corporate and ALTOUR under the ALTOUR brand, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards streamlining our services and enhancing our offerings to our esteemed clients globally,” said Gabe Rizzi, president of ALTOUR.

“Shannon’s deep industry expertise, vast network of allies and commitment will prove to be pivotal in providing our clients with the most effective solutions to meet their travel management needs,” Rizzi added.

Garcia’s career spans more than 25 years in sales and business development leader in the technology, travel management, consulting, and hospitality sectors of the travel industry. She most recently worked at software company Deem, where she let the strategic sales and client management team responsible for signing on numerous Fortune 500 clients representing some of the largest business travel buyers in the world.

She has also held positions at Amex GBT, HRG, BCD Travel and its wholly-owned consulting company, Advito.
