Avanti Destinations Unveils New Guide for Asia, Talks FIT Trends

Avanti Destinations is celebrating its 10th anniversary of selling FIT in Asia with new resources and insight for travel advisors.

Avanti is a B2B tour operator that books FIT exclusively through travel advisors. The company added Asia to its portfolio in 2015, and currently offers complete vacations, accommodations, sightseeing tours, experiences, and transfers in Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

As of 2025, the tour operator’s complete Asia product lineup includes more than 750 hotels, 300 tours and experiences, and over 50 vacation packages—across 100 locations.

“We are adding products all the time,” said Avanti Destinations CEO Paul Barry. “More than 200 tours, experiences, and hotels have been added in the past 12 months alone.”

Gina Bang, Avanti Destination’s chief sales and marketing officer, shared insight with TMR on the destination’s appeal for FIT.

“For most clients booked on an Avanti Asian FIT vacation by their advisor, it’s their first trip to the region,” said Bang.

The C-suite exec pointed to the region’s value as a major selling point for travellers, noting that higher-end accommodations and experiences are at a lower price point compared to other areas.

“Clients who are used to traveling in Europe will be pleasantly surprised how much quality they get for the money in Asia, particularly Southeast Asia. Throughout Asia, though, the hotels, tours and cuisine are top-notch and much more affordable than in Europe,” said Bang.

Destinations like Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam have done particularly well for Avanti.

“Japan has been our top-selling Asian country since we launched the region in 2015, and its popularity has grown to where it now ranks among our ten best-selling countries overall,” said Barry. “We recommend advisors book Japanese vacations at least six months in advance. The best English-speaking guides are in short supply, particularly in the less touristed locations.”

Avanti Destinations Unveils New Print Guide for Asia

Avanti has issued a new 92-page print guide for Asia, which travel advisors can order online via this link: https://www.avantidestinations.com/orderbrochures.

The tour operator discontinued print brochures during the pandemic but has been bringing them back in response to travel advisor demand.

The new Asia Advisor Reference Guide print brochure includes information on 375 hotels, 196 tours and experiences, five customizable vacations, three customizable city stays, and 10 fixed-price packages in 68 locations within 12 Asian destinations. (Not all of Avanti’s product lineup is included).

Prices are not included in the printed reference guide; however, there are QR codes that link to the company’s Asia regional website, where there are prices listed for Avanti’s new fixed-price packages.

As CEO Paul Barry told TMR in an interview last December, the fixed-price packages were introduced to be time savers for the industry, and are great tools for starting a conversation with a client about FIT.

The Asia Advisor Reference Guide also has information on Avanti’s new luxury rail experience in Vietnam, two- and three-day cruises in Halong Bay, and 12 ryokans—unique traditional Japanese inns feature tatami-matted rooms, futon beds, communal baths, and local cuisine.

Travel advisors can use the new brochure as a reference tool when planning. The guide features insider tips and other important information, such as travel times between cities within the 12 countries, maps of hotel locations within major cities, and advice on everything from cuisine to detours to interesting, less-touristed sights and experiences for clients to explore on their own.
