Starwood Continues Europe Expansion

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is developing 30 hotels in Europe, expected to open over the next five years. That’s on top of the 18 it opened last year, including the St. Regis in Istanbul and the W Hotel in Amsterdam.

Coming up, Starwood is launching the Tribute Portfolio brand in France and expanding its mid-market brands in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Russia, and Turkey. The Le Méridien brand will re-enter Italy by the end of this year in Rome; a W Hotel will open in Madrid in 2018; and two Westins properties will open, in Spain and Germany, this year.
