Trump Taj Mahal To Close

The Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ, will shut its doors after Labor Day weekend.
Owner and financier Carl Icahn was unable to reach an agreement with the Unite Here labor union representing about 1,000 workers, who have been on strike over health insurance and pension benefits since July 1.
Icahn has been financing the hotel since it filed for bankruptcy in 2014, reportedly losing $100 million on the property in the past 18 months.
Donald Trump opened the hotel 28 years ago, but hasn’t been involved in the casino hotel for several years.
The closing will leave Atlantic City with seven casinos, after four closed in 2014.
