Classic Vacations has unveiled its 2026 Festive Experiences Collection in response to demand for holiday travel.
According to Classic Vacations, December is the top month booked over the last six weeks, accounting for 18% of all bookings. This signals an interest from travelers in locking down their holiday travel plans.
“The holidays have always been about bringing people together, and increasingly we’re seeing families turn that time together into a vacation,” Melissa Krueger, CEO of Classic Vacations, told Travel Market Report. “Rather than exchanging traditional gifts or hosting celebrations at home, many are choosing experiences they’ll remember long after the season ends.”
To help advisors respond to the interest in holiday travel, the tour operator has released its 2026 Festive Experiences Collection, which highlights luxury hotels and resorts that offer holiday programming. Examples include a “skating by the sea” experience at Hotel del Coronado, California, a Christmas Week celebration at Grace Bay Club, Turks & Caicos, and choir performances at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali.
The full list of festive experiences is available online, in an easy-to-navigate list that includes destination, location, and star rating for each property. Sought-out destinations and hotels are expected to book quickly.
“Today’s luxury travelers are looking for experiences they simply can’t recreate at home,” explained Krueger. “Whether that’s watching Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by outrigger canoe at Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui, celebrating under the stars at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, or enjoying holiday traditions in the Caribbean at Grace Bay Club, these celebrations reflect the traditions and character of each destination and give travelers the opportunity to experience the holidays through the local culture.”
