G Adventures has added 25 new trips to its Active product line for 2025.
Starting March 2025, the new small group trips will explore lesser-known regions in destinations like Japan, South Africa, the Balkans, Morocco, the Galapagos, and Peru, as well as G Adventures’ debut in Pakistan.
The new tour include the 18-day Active Japan: North to South Adventure, the much-aniticpated 10-day Pakistan: Hike the Karakoram Mountains, and the 17-day Active Galápagos & Machu Picchu.
G Adventures’ Active category offers guided tours with a physical focus, featuring hiking, biking, and multisport activities incorporated into the action-packed itineraries. Travelers can explore new destinations around the world in small groups of like-minded adventurers— whether that’s rafting down the Pacuare River in Costa Rica or conquering Africa’s highest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The G Adventures Active travel product line features small group tours (maximum 16, average 12) with expert guides and adventurous excursions. The journeys range in terms of physical demands and accommodation styles. Travelers can choose from average (3), demanding (4), and challenging (5) grade levels, with accommodations ranging from standard tourist-class accommodations to camping (tents), based on the itinerary.
The tour operator’s Active travel style grew over 16% in 2024.
“Interest has soared in this category, with more travellers wanting to switch off and connect with the world on a more physical level,” said Yves Marceau, vice president of product for G Adventures.
While the Active trips feature more physical activities, the trips are intentionally designed for off-the-beaten-path exploration—supporting local communities in lesser-known areas, giving the traveler a more immersive experience.
“We’ve hand-picked destinations with the intention of looking beyond the usual trails and, instead, are bringing travelers to lesser-visited regions and villages, via incredible hiking routes, kayak trips and biking excursions, helping to support local communities who haven’t been able to benefit from tourism in the past,” Marceau added.
The full list of Active trips is available on the G Adventures website.
