TTC Tour Brands announced today that Trafalgar will be expanded to unify the Costsaver and Insight Vacations tours, consolidating the 2027 portfolios under one brand.
Trafalgar has been in operation for more than 80 years. The tour operator is in a growth period, having added Trafalgar river cruises last year and a small group tours collection this past June.
With the expansion, the tour operator will offer more than 600 itineraries across 75 countries. The trips will be split into three value tiers: saver, classic, and premium, which will retain the experience and price point associated with Costsaver, Trafalgar, and Insight Vacations, respectively.
According to TTC Tour Brands, the decision was made to simplify the portfolio, making it easier for travel advisors to identify which product is right for their client.
“Growth has given us more ways than ever to serve travelers, but more choice shouldn’t mean more complexity for the advisors who sell us,” said Melissa DaSilva, deputy CEO and chief sales officer, TTC Tour Brands. “Bringing these experiences together under Trafalgar allows us to preserve what advisors and their clients value while removing layers that no longer make it easy to do business with us. We want an advisor to be able to come to Trafalgar with a client and find the right way for them to travel, whether that means a premium tour, a small group, a river cruise or a completely different experience as their needs evolve.”
Trafalgar’s three new tiers will retain the value propositions of the previous brands, with saver tours offering a lower price point with more flexibility and the premium tours offering elevated hotels, dining, and experiences. Trafalgar’s current tours will be categorized under the classic tiers.
The 2027 departures — including existing itineraries, experiences, and pricing — remain unchanged.
TTC Tour Brands will support Trafalgar’s expanded portfolio with its largest-ever marketing investment for the brand, which will include an awareness campaign, as well as training and resources for travel advisors. This includes a hub on the Travel Agent Portal (TAP), titled “Your New Era with Trafalgar,” which is now live. Here, advisors can access information, training and resources.
Trafalgar is also hosting two live webinars for North American advisors: One on Sept. 2 and another on Sept. 17. Alternatively, advisors can request training from their sales manager or complete eLearning at their own pace.
“The goal isn’t to give advisors less choice. It’s to make more choice easier to navigate,” added DaSilva. “An advisor shouldn’t have to navigate the complexity of how our business is organized behind the scenes to find the right vacation for their client. We believe one trusted brand, with clearly defined ways to travel and value tiers, gives them a simpler way to match the right experience to the right traveler.”
