New Collette University Module Helps Advisors Match Clients & Travel Styles

Global tour operator Collette is expanding its advisor education platform with the release of the latest Collette University module: FIT or Guided: Finding Your Clients’ Match.

Designed to help travel advisors better understand traveller preferences, the new training provides practical guidance on identifying whether your client is best suited for a premium guided tour or a Fully Independent Travel (FIT) experience.

As traveller expectations continue to evolve, advisors are increasingly tasked with matching clients to experiences that align with how they want to travel. While some value the expert planning, destination insights, and seamless logistics of a premium guided tour, others may prefer the flexibility and customization of an independent journey.

Through the new module, advisors will learn how to uncover those preferences and make more confident recommendations based on each client’s travel style.

“Helping travel advisors create the right travel experience for their clients starts with understanding what motivates each traveller,” said Diana Ditto, VP of Growth Strategy and Product Marketing.

“This latest Collette University module gives advisors practical tools to better identify travel preferences, ask more meaningful discovery questions, and match clients with journeys that align with their expectations. It’s another example of how we’re investing in resources that help our advisor partners grow their expertise and deliver exceptional service.”

The self-paced course explores the key indicators that can help advisors determine whether a client may be a better fit for a premium guided travel experience or a FIT itinerary. Participants will gain client-discovery techniques, conversation starters, and selling strategies designed to uncover what a traveller truly wants from their vacation experience. They can then use those insights to recommend the travel style that best aligns with their client’s goals, comfort level, and preferred pace.

Available through Collette University, the on-demand module allows advisors to complete the training on their own schedule. Advisors new to the platform can also start with Collette University 101, which introduces Collette’s travel collection, tools, and advisor resources. Advisors choose a learning path based on their experience: new to the Industry (less than five years) or those with more than five years of experience.
