The Opportunities and Challenges of Selling Land Tours

The Opportunities and Challenges of Selling Land Tours

Selling land tours is one of the most common ways that travel advisors build their businesses, but there is a lot of opportunity left on the table, and challenges to deal with, too.

That’s according to the new Outlook on Land Tours for 2024, which goes live for TMR readers today. According to the close to 800 advisors speaking to TMR for the report, despite 9 in 10 advisors selling land tours, the tours only contribute to approximately a third of an advisor’s annual gross sales.

That means that even with the abundance of opportunities, there are a lot of challenges, including a lack of flexibility in supplier itineraries which was one of the biggest challenges in selling land tours.

The following pages are filled with those insights and more, including the top destinations sold, the key motivators for clients, how often air is booked separately, the average spend, and more. It’s pages and pages of information all designed for you to make decisions about your business and about selling land.

The full report is available on the TMR website, or through the TMR Training page.
