AMG Launches New-to-Industry Training Program Called KORE

AMG Launches New-to-Industry Training Program Called KORE

The KORE agent education program has been relaunched as a digital platform.

American Marketing Group (AMG), the parent company behind TRAVELSAVERS and NEST, this week unveiled its new training program called KORE, a 16-module program specifically designed for those who are new to the travel industry.

The program, which was created with help from Allianz and the Travel Institute, aims to get travel advisors a deeper level of education, business training, and selling skills that AMG believes are essential to their success. The courses include an overview of the industry, basic financials, world geography, customer service, social media, understanding travel insurance, and more.

KORE is 100% online and should take users 14 to 18 weeks to complete, time that includes periodic quizzes and then a final Travel Agent Proficiency exam.

“For many years, we saw a need in the industry to target new and younger demographics who were interested in travel, and we feel this program will be critical to creating strong professionals in this career path,” Kathryn Mazza-Burney, AMG’s chief sales officer said.

Mazza-Burney said while the program is designed for new-to-industry, existing advisors who needed continuing education have also benefited from it.

KORE is currently in beta testing with some TRAVELSAVERS and NEST advisors. The plan is to launch it exclusively to U.S. agency members this week and then release it industry-wide next year, with the content updated under the KORE brand.

“The initial program will be critical to our members to deliver potential employees,” Steve Phillips, senior director of education and training for TRAVELSAVERS, said. “We are excited to find and bring new, educated advisors into the industry for our travel agency partners looking to expand their individual advisor community.”
