Suppliers Celebrate National Travel Advisor Day

Suppliers Celebrate National Travel Advisor Day

Norwegian Cruise Line is giving away a seven-day cruise to one lucky travel advisor partner.

Now more than ever, it’s important that suppliers and travelers celebrate travel advisors – who have done so much during the COVID-19 pandemic, from rescuing travelers to spending hours on hold. Here are a few ways suppliers are honoring the trade with special campaigns and promotions.

Collette launched “Sincerely Yours” campaign on social media to celebrate and applauds travel advisors. Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, president of Collette, posted her own video here.

MSC Cruises is also kicking off a social media campaign. Ken Muskat, EVP and COO of MSC Cruises USA, spoke with travel advisors earlier this year to hear their perspective on what makes them successful as an advisor. These videos will be shared on MSC Cruises’ social media channels and via trade emails. Travel advisors can share why they love to sell travel all month long, and tag MSC Cruises’ handles and use #TravelAdvisorDay and #MSCCruises for a chance to be featured on their social pages.

Warwick Paradise Island – Bahamas is offering special “Travel Advisor Appreciation Rates” during the entire month of May. The offer includes a third night free-of-charge when booking a personal stay for travel from June 22 to Dec. 20, 2020. Travel professionals can reserve up to two rooms, with rates starting at $130 per person, per night, based on double occupancy in an Island View room. Travel agents can reserve their stay by using TAFR through the website.

Riviera River Cruises is offering an incentive to advisors and their clients for new bookings made this week for 2020 and 2021 European river cruises. Between May 4 and May 8, advisors will receive a $100 gift card per cabin booked and their clients will receive a $100 shipboard credit per person booked.

On Norwegian Cruise Line’s Partners First Facebook page, beginning today at 8 am ET through 6 pm ET, travel advisors will be eligible to win prizes on all new bookings. The prizes include VIP packages or a $200 OBC for a select number of travel partner bookings made through the Guest Services team and $500 Amazon gift cards for 10 travel partners. From the 10 winners, three will be selected to win a grand prize cruise where one participant will win a Haven suite aboard a seven-day Norwegian cruise. The three winners will be announced by NCL Chief Sales Officer, Katina Athanasiou via Facebook Live at 8 p.m. ET

Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours is giving travel advisors an additional 2% commission on any new Scenic European or Southeast Asia river cruises made now through May 31, 2020. For each booking, travel advisors will automatically be entered in a drawing for a complimentary seven-night Scenic river cruise.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach, Spa & Casino Resort is commemorating “Travel Advisor Day” with special travel agent rates offered for travel Nov. 1, 2020 through April 30, 2021. Travel advisors can book up to two double occupancy rooms for up to four nights with rates starting at $58 per person, per night, based on stays in a luxury Tropical Garden View room. Travel agent reservations are made by sending an email to sales@serenade.com.do or reservations@serenade.com.do and referencing code TAPROMO2020.

Pleasant Holidays and Journese launched a bonus TRIP Points promotion, awarding travel advisors 500 bonus TRIP points for each new booking made now through May 9, 2020. Travel advisors will receive an additional 500 bonus TRIP points for each booking made on National Travel Advisor Day. Bonus TRIP points will be awarded at time of client travel, which must be completed by Dec. 31, 2021. Points can be redeemed for personal travel to destinations and cruises across the brands’ portfolio.

Intrepid issued a letter thanking travel agents, as part of its #BeTogether community engagement platform.

Windstar announced that in honor of National Travel Advisor day, it’s changing its Travel Assurance Booking Policy to pay agent commissions on all future cruise credits, recognizing that far more cruises have been cancelled than in the past. In addition, Windstar is bringing back a popular promotion for travel advisors, “Sell 3, Sail Free,” on May 18. Travel advisors must sell three staterooms, and once fully deposited, the advisor (and a guest) sail for free on a cruise departing by April 30, 2021.

AMResorts is offering bonus commissions for select club-level room categories across brands and resorts, and has special Master Agent rates for when they’re ready to travel later in the year. Advisors can also earn a chance to win a three-night stay for two for every webinar they attend.
