The 333 islands of Fiji in the South Pacific may each be small, but across them all, one trait runs big: the friendly hospitality of the Bula spirit. The new menu and service are being progressively introduced on select long-haul flights, with full rollout scheduled by July 2026.

Even in Economy, genuine hospitality and thoughtful touches make air travel special again. There are catered meals that include a starter, a choice of mains, and dessert. In between, new snacks and beverages have been introduced, with options like hot chocolate. There’s also plenty of entertainment, including an on-board magazine and a duty-free catalog to browse.

Plus, Fiji Airways has officially adopted the AAdvantage® Travel Reward Program as their own, which allows customers to earn and redeem miles when traveling the Fiji Airways network. This increases the opportunity to accrue points from 25 destinations in 14 countries to include American Airlines’ extensive network of over 350 destinations across more than 60 countries.
With such a vast reach comes the possibility to make a positive impact. Coming from a small and precious part of the planet, Fiji Airways has fittingly positioned sustainability at the core of its operations under a dedicated framework called Maroroya, which means “to protect.” For that reason, they’ve invested in aircraft that uses up to 25% less fuel, constantly monitoring and actively reducing fuel consumption on every flight, and have replaced single-use plastics with more sustainable alternatives. On board, passengers will find craft paper packaging, paper cups, blankets made from sustainably sourced bamboo, which are donated to community groups and charities across Fiji when retired. And through Fiji Airways’ “Every Take Off, One Tree” initiative, a mangrove seedling is planted for every international flight. In partnership with Fiji’s Department of Forestry, 84,000 young plants have joined their existing brethren on Fiji’s shores to help counter the impact of climate change and erosion.
