Travel Leaders Partners With Amex on Gold Card Benefits
by Marilee CrockerTravel Leaders Group has teamed up with American Express to provide travel benefits to U.S. Gold Card customers in a program that aims to drive new customers to Travel Leaders agents. Announced at the Travel Leaders Network EDGE conference in Las Vegas this week, the program gives Travel Leaders agents access to new clients and new revenue opportunities, said Travel Leaders Group CEO Ninan Chacko, who called the program “a big win for our travel agents.”
The benefit program, called The Travel Collection by Travel Leaders Group, initially will feature offers such as discounts on air and vacation packages, shipboard credits and hotel value adds. Travel Leaders agents who opt in and complete eight to nine hours of online training will have the opportunity to service cardholders both by connecting them to Travel Collection benefits and by redeeming their pay-with-points membership rewards.
The program is currently in Beta with 240 agents. American Express will begin marketing the program to its consumer and business Gold Card members in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
