AmaWaterways is strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of two new senior executives: Virginia Suliman as chief technology officer and Michael “Kazem” Moghtader as chief people officer.
Suliman will lead AmaWaterways’ long-term technology strategy and digital evolution. She brings extensive technology leadership experience, most recently serving as chief information and digital officer at Invitation Homes, where she led a major digital transformation. She also spent over 20 years at Hilton, ultimately serving as senior vice president of global software engineering.
“I’m thrilled to return to travel and join AmaWaterways at such an exciting time of growth,” said Suliman. “Technology and innovation help our team work smarter and allow our guests to enjoy every moment of their journey from start to finish. We will continue building on AmaWaterways’ strong digital foundation to enhance our technology capabilities, making our guests’ experiences even more seamless and unforgettable.”
Moghtader will focus on attracting and developing top talent and enhancing the employee experience. He brings more than 20 years of experience leading HR strategy, talent development, and organizational transformation across hospitality, healthcare, retail, and luxury brands. Most recently, he served as chief people officer at Postcard Cabins (formerly Getaway). His earlier roles include chief people officer at Conifer Health Solutions, vice president of human resources at Signet Jewelers, and leadership positions at JC Penney, Victoria’s Secret, and Banana Republic.
