Viking has unveiled its Mississippi River voyages for 2027, including two new itineraries with ports of call along both the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers.
“Wherever they are in the world, our guests are interested in the history, culture and culinary traditions of the destinations they visit,” said Torstein Hagen, Chairman and CEO of Viking. “The towns and cities along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers are close to home for quite a few of our guests—and are fantastic destinations that many have yet to discover.”
The new itineraries include a 15-day Bayous, Blus & Bluegrass itinerary, which operates between New Orleans and Louisville, as well as an eight-day Mississippi & Ohio River Explorer itinerary that offers a journey between Memphis and Louisville. The longer sailing includes stops in Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. The shorter sailing stops in ports in Tennessee and Kentucky.
For clients with more time, the 22-day Mississippi River Odyssey travels from New Orleans to St. Paul, doing the entire Mississippi River.
Clients can alternatively do eight-day Lower (New Orleans to Memphis) or Upper (St. Louis to St. Paul) Mississippi sailings.
Finally, an eight-day New Orleans roundtrip option takes in the Lower Mississippi with the ease of a roundtrip flight.
All sailings are onboard the Viking Mississippi, a 193 all-outside stateroom ship featuring Viking’s signature Scandinavian style.
