Apple Vacations last week launched its newly enhanced travel advisor loyalty program, Royalties Xchange.

It has new features and capabilities such as real-time conversion of points onto a Virtual Visa card and the ability to redeem rewards for ALG-branded merchandise. Agents can use Royalties Points toward travel-related purchases for themselves or their valued clients.

The new Virtual Visa card features a credit card number, expiration data and security code just like a physical card and can be redeemed anywhere Visa is accepted, including via Apple, Google or Samsung Play mobile wallet transactions or other retail websites.

The company said real-time conversion of points ensures agents can take immediate advantage of retailer sales, promotions and special discount offers, just in time for the holidays.

Points expire two and a half years from the date of accrual, on Jan. 15, Apr. 15, July 15 and Oct. 15.

Air only, air/car, and land only bookings earn 1 point per $10 in sales; scheduled service packages get two points per $10 sales; and charter packages earn three points/$10 sales. Select hotels in the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, and Costa Rica that participate as a bonus hotel earn agents 1,000 bonus points per booking. Hawaii bookings and group bookings of 10 or more rooms (made through the Apple Vacations Groups Department) receive double points.
