Independent travel specialist Avanti Destinations has teamed up with Tourism and Events Queensland to launch a new joint campaign to educate travel advisors and their clients about Australia’s “Sunshine State.”
The campaign comprises a new 34-page e-brochure, “Queensland: The Sunshine State Awaits,” a dedicated microsite for the destination, and two pre-recorded webinars: one on Queensland landmarks and hidden gems, the other on Brisbane and Tropical North Queensland.
The e-brochure and microsite are tools travel advisors can use to show clients Avanti’s options in the region. The tour operator offers a total of 62 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels and 78 tours and experiences in Queensland.
Some of Avanti’s top-selling experiences include a nine-hour guided boat cruise around the Outer Great Barrier Reef that combines snorkelling with Aboriginal stoytelling; a guided tour of Daintree’s Mossman Gorge with morning tea, cruise, wildlife-spotting, and nature walks along the Noah Valley rainforest and Tribulation Beach; and a small-group culinary tour featuring lunch and beer/wine tastings in Brisbane.
“Queensland – particularly the Tropical North region centered on Cairns or Port Douglas – is our best-selling destination in Australia,” said Paul Barry, CEO of Avanti Destinations.
Avanti Destinations is a travel advisor-exclusive tour operator, specializing in crafting custom FIT itineraries for international destinations. The company’s new InstaQuote tool can quickly generate itineraries based on the requested cities and number of nights, including suggested tours and necessary transfers.
“It is an area full of superlatives: the world’s largest coral reef, the oldest tropical rainforest, the oldest continuous culture, as well as white sand beaches, turquoise waters, excellent surfing, charming towns, sailing, snorkeling, hiking, and Australia’s greenest city, Brisbane,” added Barry.
