To Reflect a ‘New Approach,’ Tourism Cares Rebrands and Adds Individual Memberships

Tourism Cares partners with destinations to create Meaningful Travel Maps.

Tourism Cares is headed in a “powerful new direction.”

Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, and wanting to reflect a new organizational approach to meet the industry’s sustainability challenges, Tourism Care has rebranded with a new logo along with a new individual membership option that will allow travel advisors to join on their own.

Now, advisors will be able to join Tourism Cares for $99, which will give them access to Tourism Cares’ education platforms, professional development, consulting, and the organization’s signature programs.

“We are proud to unveil our refreshed branding as we hit a crossroads in our industry’s recovery – there is optimism to be tapped, but yet so many communities remain in dire need. Both must be addressed, one not exclusive of the other. We need to build towards the future while recognizing the present need,” Tourism Cares CEO Greg Takehara told TMR.

“Accordingly, we are expanding our community to include passionate individuals who are looking to join Tourism Cares in meeting that challenge,” he added.

The goal of the organization is to use travel to provide direct economic benefits to local communities around the world, creating a “positive social, environmental, and economic impact for the people and place of travel.

The updated brand reflects that goal—a “refreshed vision for the future and a renewed and strengthened commitment to come together as a global community,” Takehara said in the release. Giving advisors the ability to join Tourism Cares on its own reflects that goal—building a global community.

“Our membership of leading and diverse travel companies is excited for a new future adding individual travel enthusiasts to engage together to make a positive change in the world. We unite this great industry around sustainability and we deliver on a collective quest for meaningful and responsible action – by bringing together corporations, foundations, businesses,” Robin Tauck, Chairwoman, Tourism Cares told TMR.
