Starting September 1, travelers onboard Lindblad Expeditions voyages will no longer need to be boosted in order to sail, nor will they be required to wear a mask onboard. As of October 1, they will also no longer have to test negative for COVID-19 before their cruise in order to sail.

“As the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved, many local, state, and federal protocols are rapidly changing," the line said in a statement. “Lindblad’s Global Policy team continues to review these changes and adjust their protocols to match the latest guidance.”

New guidelines are as follows:

  • Starting September 1, guests of 4 years of age and younger will no longer be required to be vaccinated;
  • Booster shots are no longer required except on extended sailings in Antarctica;
  • Effective October 1 for most sailings, guests will no longer need to test prior to leaving home and will no longer need to be tested at embarkation;
  • Testing may still be required for vaccinated passengers going to certain countries, or if traveling on the Sea Cloud or Delfin II, which have their own health and safety protocols
