Crystal has canceled its upcoming cruise from Mumbai to Piraeus (Athens) on Crystal Symphony from March 27 to April 13 due to unrest in the Red Sea.

In addition, Crystal has re-routed parts of its 2024 World Cruise on Crystal Serenity to avoid the Red Sea. The changes will not impact the length of the world voyage, and the ship will still arrive in Miami on June 8 as scheduled.

The cruise line issued a statement on Friday saying that Crystal “remains committed to prioritizing safety and well-being of our guests and crew.”

“We are in the process of notifying all impacted guests on both ships,” the statement says. “We greatly appreciate our guests and crew for their understanding and patience during this process.”

Crystal is not the only cruise line that has canceled or modified its trips on the Red Sea, where several merchant vessels have been attacked recently. Virgin Voyages rerouted its repositioning voyages on Resilient Lady earlier this month, and MSC Cruises canceled three sailings about a month ago.
