Family Travel Association Opens Annual Summit To Travel Agents

by James Shillinglaw  June 20, 2016

The Family Travel Association (FTA) for the first time is opening up its second annual conference to travel agents who specialize in family and multigenerational travel.

Attendees at the conference, scheduled for Oct. 23-26 at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, AZ, will include agents, suppliers, operators, destinations, industry experts, and family-travel media and influencers.

“Family travel continues to be one of the fastest-growing segments of the tourism industry,” said FTA President Rainer Jenss. “Our research indicates that 93% of American parents are either ‘very likely’ or ‘likely’ to travel with their children in the next two years.”

The FTA Summit is a trade-only event that brings together family-travel experts, industry leaders, and media for three days of presentations, workshops, research, and networking opportunities.

At the 2015 Summit at the Mountain Sky Guest Ranch in Montana, attendees included Afar Media, Travel + Leisure, USA Today, Abercrombie & Kent, Austin Adventures, Walt Disney Co., and Royal Caribbean.
