Hertz Finds October Busiest Business Travel Month
According to Hertz, more corporate customers will rent cars in the United States during October than any other month of the year, and drive an estimated 114 million miles.
Hertz credits the distinction to the busy stretch of conferences and conventions that begins in October. Business travel then declines in November and December due to the holiday season.
The top five busiest locations for Hertz in October are projected to be San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas and Chicago. Monday is expected to be the peak day of the week for business travel. Hertz Gold Plus Rewards loyalty program members are expected to accumulate an estimated 350 million points and earn approximately 600,000 free rental days this month.
In a promotion for the fall, Hertz is offering Gold Plus Rewards members in the United States and Canada 550 bonus points—enough for a free weekend day—when they rent twice from Hertz before November 13 and register at HertzFallRewards.com.
