Silversea Takes Delivery of Silver Nova

by Dori Saltzman  July 20, 2023
Silversea Takes Delivery of Silver Nova

Silver Nova, the first new ship in an all new class of ship for Silversea Cruises, has been handed over to the cruise line in Eemshaven, the Netherlands.

Royal Caribbean Group president and CEO, Jason Liberty, joined Silversea president Barbara Muckermann, executives from Meyer Werft and other attendees at the ceremony.

“We are very proud to announce the final handover of Silver Nova, the most environmentally conscious ultra-luxury cruise ship ever built,” the line said in a statement.

The 728-guest Silver Nova is the 12th ship in the Silversea fleet. It offers the line’s largest selection of bars, restaurants, and lounges, as well as some of the most spacious suites at sea.

Silver Nova departs on its maiden voyage on August 14, sailing roundtrip from Venice for one week.
