Brownell Names David Harris as President, Troy Haas as Chairman and CEO
by Daniel McCarthy /Brownell Travel on Monday made two major moves in its executive team.
The host agency on Monday announced that Troy Haas, who became the group’s sole owner in 2023, will now serve as chairman and CEO. At the same time, Brownell said that David Harris, who has been serving as COO and CFO for the group since 2022, will take over as president effective immediately.
Harris, who spent 30 years in a variety of roles prior to joining Brownell, had been key in helping Brownell’s growth since 2022, including helping “create cross-departmental alignment between operations, hosting support, air desk and insurance, recruiting and development, marketing, and partner alliance,” the group said.
“As we continue to build on the core strengths of Brownell and lean into an exciting future, I am delighted to have David’s talent and heart at work for our Brownell community,” says Haas. “As I often say, David is a bit of a ‘unicorn’ as he is a finance and operations professional whose true passion is helping others grow and succeed.”
