Sun Princess, Princess Cruises next new ship – and its largest-ever – will make its U.S. debut in October 2024, offering seven- and 14-day Caribbean itineraries out of Fort Lauderdale.

Before it starts its regular Caribbean deployment, Sun Princess will first sail a five-day kick-off itinerary with stops in Amber Cove and Grand Turk. All sailings open for booking on April 19, 2023.

"We are thrilled about the expansion of the Princess fleet and know that homeporting Sun Princess in Fort Lauderdale offers a convenient option for guests to explore the most elevated experience ever from the Love Boat," said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president.

Regular season itineraries will include:

  • 7-day Eastern Caribbean: St. Thomas, San Juan (late-night stay), Princess Cays
  • 7-day Eastern Caribbean: Amber Cove, Grand Turk, Princess Cays
  • 7-day Western Caribbean: Cozumel, Belize City, Roatan
  • 14-day Eastern & Western: Combine either of the Eastern itineraries with the Western

Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the 4,300-passenger Sun Princess will debut in February 2024 with a full season of Mediterranean cruises.  It will be the largest ship in the Princess fleet and the first to feature The Dome, a cutting-edge day-to-night entertainment space "inspired by the terraces of Santorini." It will also be the first Princess ship to feature a theater in the round, a three-story main dining room and will have the largest ever casino.
